Marjorie Freisthler, FNP-BC started her studies in Miami, Florida at Chamberlain College of Nursing. She graduated with her Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN), Cum Lade, in 2013. During her undergraduate program she served as class president, student ambassador, planning committee advisory board member, and inaugural class representative. Upon graduation, Margie transitioned into the Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) Program at Chamberlain. She achieved her MSN degree, Cum Laude, in 2017 as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP).
Prior to becoming a nurse, Margie worked in information technology (IT) for the U.S.Army in Germany. She was able to proudly serve our Nation's Soldiers and their families. It was during this time that she realized just how much she wanted to work closer with people. Margie's experience ranges from inpatient cardiac stepdown, neuroscience, emergency, and urgent patient care. Margie's focus and passion is educating her patients on overall health and wellness while working with them to achieve their individual goals. With her experience and passion for individual wellness, Margie has been a speaker and and presenter at the Florida Nurses Association (FNA), Florida Nurses Student Association (FNSA), and Association of Women's Health Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) Conferences. Margie specializes in implementing evidence based practice by bringing the latest research and technology into her practice.
Margie is an active member of American Nurses Association, Ohio Nurses Association, American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, American Nurse Credentialing Center, American Academy of Facial Aesthetics, and Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honor Society. In 2013 she was selected as a new graduate ambassador by the Florida Nurses Association (FNA). Margie was also honored as a recipient of Chief Stewart Scholarship, Dale Cornett Memorial Scholarship, and The Physicians Scholarship granted by The Good Samaritan Foundation in Dayton, Ohio.
